Bringing Yoga Effect to Colorado

For two years Yoga Effect has successfully funded the girl’s yoga program in the Dominican Republic. Because of this success, our 2nd Annual Yoga Effect Donation Drive will focus on closing out our 2019 funding goals, fund the 1st semester of 2020, AND help us launch a new location in Colorado.

How will we use the money?

-$150.00 will get us to our 2019 funding goal for the Mariposa Center for Girls weekly yoga classes.

-$1,200 will go towards the 1st semester of yoga for the Mariposa Center for Girls in 2020.

The balance will enable Yoga Effect to approach a school in a Colorado community and start weekly yoga classes for students who wouldn't otherwise have access to yoga and the benefits it provides.

How much does yoga cost?

Yoga teachers are paid per class and generally, the rates (depending on the community) range from $20-$45/per class.

What does yoga teach children?

Yoga teaches children to be more in tune with their bodies and minds. This helps them become more focused students, lowers problem attitudes in the classroom, and gives them tools to be resilient adults later in life.

Where in Colorado are we setting up our next location?

Currently, we are looking to work with East Grand County Schools. However, we are open to all Colorado school districts.
